Old beauty meets new beauty in Urbex Sexploring. An erotic photo series shot in and around the Ringers building in Alkmaar. The rawness and faded glory of the building served as major inspiration for this project.

This photo series explores various fetishes, but also touches on themes of sexuality, loneliness, and neglect. The collection captures the fragile human desire.
The rawness of the abandoned building possesses a beauty that demands to be captured. By adding nude beauty, a new experience is created. The past and the abandoned are rediscovered and documented. Only footsteps remain. This form of photography is known as Urbex Photography or Urban Exploring.
History of Ringers
In 1920, the first stone was laid, and the Ringers Chocolate Factory was inaugurated. In 1972, the factory closed and the building was taken over by furniture retailer Klercq, who covered the structure with white aluminum panels. In 2008, the company declared bankruptcy, leaving the building largely vacant. The site was “guarded” through anti-squat measures by a gallery, and De Block became De Blok.
In 2017, nine years after Klercq’s fall, the building was stripped of its white cladding and temporarily repurposed by the Stadskantine and Het Nieuwe Warenhuis.
The entire building has been stripped and rebuilt in the old style and has made way for apartments in 2023.
